Gospel Singing day workshop and “An evening” with Kathy Bullock
Kathy Bullock has visited The Universal Hall three times before and almost literally raised the roof with her passion, enthusiasm, joy and incredible musicianship. This event is the first stop on a 3 week UK tour. A Professor of Music at Berea College, Kentucky where she has worked for the past twenty-three years, Kathy has earned a Ph.D. and M.A. in Music Theory from Washington University in St. Louis, MO, and a B.A. in Music from Brandeis University, MA. She is an inspirational teacher. All are welcome, no experience necessary – just a willingness to let go into the joy of singing.
The day workshop will be learning and singing a number of African-American gospel songs and may also include something from her African song repertoire. There will be a break for lunch (not provided).
