Peatbog Faeries (music) Wed 4th July, 7.30pm

Based on the Isle of Skye, the Peatbog Faeries bring Celtic Dance music into the 21st century by incorporating many influences which take them from traditional jigs and reels through jazz, hip hop, reggae and more. From the moment they take to the stage, the mood is set for a no-nonsense feel-good atmosphere – each number sounding like an encore itself. They tease unlikely combinations from the familiarity of instruments such as fiddle and highland pipes – blending with techno rhythms and soaring sounds and take this to another plane. The Peatbogs have released seven studio albums, have played to audiences all over the world, and won the award for ‘Best Live Act’ at the prestigious Scottish Traditional Music Awards.

Please note: there will be dancing at this event and special ‘standing only’ tickets are now the only tickets left at the Phoenix Stores. Please turn up at the Stores in person to buy those, or phone 01309 691170 to reserve them to collect on the night. The online tickets (seated) have now sold out. Also please note that we allow online tickets to be transferred to friends or family – despite advice to the contrary on wegottickets.com. All you do is come to venue with a note of the number of tickets bought and the original name they were booked under and we check them off against our list.
