ELEMENTAL – Restoring Essential Nature – Conscious Dance – Movement as Spontaneous Ceremony

Three and a half day movement and somatics retreat with live music.

Facilitated by Fred and Colleen Sugarman (USA) and Audicia Lynne Morley (Scotland) with live music accompaniment by Derek Houghton (Scotland) .

Join us for a two hour introductory evening programme, (opening ceremony and fundraiser for the Universal Hall) and three day retreat.

With inspiration drawn from nature, the elements, experiential anatomy and embryology we invite an exploration of the sacred geometry, shapes and designs of improvised and somatically guided movement with both live and recorded music and council- style sharing circles.

We will be exploring embodied principles of:

• Conscious Dance
• Improvised somatically guided movement
• Stillness and Breath
• Structured partner work
• Listening touch
• Experiential anatomy and embryology
• Council-style sharing

This approach supports:

• Expand capacity to be a creative self-guide.
• Recover states of well-being.
• Increase plasticity, mobility, strength and stamina.
• Develop self-intimacy, camaraderie, community.

No dance experience necessary.

• 3 day elemental immersion programme (Friday 25th – Sunday 27th. 10am – 5pm):  £350.00 / Concession £300
• Single Day : £150 (Friday and Saturday only)
• Opening Ceremony – Thursday 24th 6-8.30pm:   £15 upwards    
  The opening ceremony of Elemental  is a fundraising event for the Universal Hall
