Coasts | Experimental Short Films

Outdoor Film presents the new experimental short film programme ‘Coasts‘, featuring a selection of short films made in Scotland or by Scottish filmmakers.

Join us for an evening of rich ocean textures, archival footage from an Antarctic expedition, the standing stones of Calanais, poetic animation, and painterly visuals shot on film stock.

Outdoor Film is a not-for-profit based in Scotland, promoting Scottish filmmaking in the outdoors and adventure. We also run the Scottish Outdoor and Adventure Film Tour. This programme offers a meditative counterpoint to the tour’s adventure films, celebrating the more experimental side of Scottish filmmaking.

Featuring films from Eilidh Morley, Bob Zane, Jimmy Hyland, Rose Day, Michiel Turner, Kate Hall, Jules Dunn, Arun Sood and Esme Haddril Selman.

Supported by Film Hub Scotland, part of the BFI’s Film Audience Network, awarding funding on behalf of Screen Scotland and the BFI National Lottery.
