Breabach (virtual tour) Tue 23rd Feb, 8pm (online event – music and film)
Tuesday, February 23, 2021, 8:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Dùsgadh (n. awakening) is an exciting new collaboration between Scottish Bafta winning animator Cat Bruce and multi award winning folk group, Breabach. This unique project takes the form of an animated film with original score. It features a soundtrack comprising five new pieces of music, one from each of Breabach’s five members. The hour long ‘evening with’ presentation features behind the scenes footage and unseen live performances as well as a Q & A hosted by BBC Radio Scotland broadcaster and musician Anna Massie. Breabach are; Megan Henderson (Fiddle, Vocals, Step Dance), James Lindsay (Double Bass, Moog, Percussion, Vocals), Calum MacCrimmon (Highland Bagpipes, Whistle, Bouzouki, Vocals), Conal McDonagh (Highland/Uilleann Bagpipes, Whistle, Flute, Vocals) and Ewan Robertson (Acoustic/Electric Guitar, Vocals, Cajon).
Ticket sales will be split between the artists and the individual venues/festivals, so you can be confident that your purchase will not only support Breabach, but also the Universal Hall in what has been a difficult year. So, although this is an online event, please book the Universal Hall date if you want to support us.
Tickets £12 only available online. To register with MyPlayer and then buy for the Universal Hall click here (registering is a necessary part of the process)
