Spring 2018

Details of most concerts and films in spring 2018 are now posted below - scroll down to reveal.  All films will be £5 entry (one price) and all will have subtitles in English as a policy for this season – even those shot in English. This is to give access to those with some hearing loss and to a sizeable minority in our audience who have English as a second language. But of course we encourage those of you with normal hearing to attend and support this inclusive plan. Young Waters (music) Wed 9th May, 7.30pm

Wednesday, May 9, 7:30 pm - 10:00 pm

Young Waters’ twisted neo-folk is a tapestry of emotionally powerful vocals, stirring harmonies, lyrical strings and finely mastered acoustic guitar. Their exhilarating rhythms and intricate melodies, coupled with a repertoire that combines startling original material with unique arrangements of traditional folk songs, makes for a captivating stage presence. In October 2017 they showcased at English Folk Expo / Manchester Folk Festival (supporting Kathryn Tickell), and their debut album, recorded at Real World studios, is due to be released in Spring 2018. Young Waters is a five-piece band led by Theo Passingham (vocals and guitar) with Kerry Ann Jangle (vocals), Liam O’Connell (double bass and vocals), Calum Smith (violin) and Rowen Elliot (viola).

£12/£10 concs/£8 U16’s
