Winter 2017/18

Details of some of the concerts and films in winter 2017/8 are now posted below - scroll down to reveal.  All films will be £5 entry (one price) and all will have subtitles in English as a policy for this season – even those shot in English. This is to give access to those with some hearing loss and to a sizeable minority in our audience who have English as a second language. But of course we encourage those of you with normal hearing to attend and support this inclusive plan. If you have feedback about this experiment let us know uhallpromo@gmail.com  More details will appear soon of the 2018 season of concerts and public events which start in February 2018. Details of the highly recommended Rich Hall gig are already listed. Trevor Sewell (music) Sat 5th Aug, 8pm

Saturday, August 5, 8:00 pm - 10:30 pm

When Trevor Sewell and his band played at the Universal Hall in 2016, the place rocked and the success of that evening guaranteed their return to Findhorn. This time Trevor will play what has been described as his “imaginative and soulful” style of blues. Winner of 9 major awards in the USA and 4 times nominated in the British Blues Awards, Trevor will include new material from his upcoming fifth album “Calling Nashville”. If you’ve not seen him before, then don’t miss this chance to enjoy one of the best blues artists around. For more information see www.trevorsewell.com

“I’ve been a big fan of Trevor’s work ever since hearing his Hollow album, so meeting him earlier this year was a real treat. I offered to play on his next record but wasn’t sure if he’d take me up on it – fortunately, he did.” Janis Ian.
