Winter 2017/18

Details of some of the concerts and films in winter 2017/8 are now posted below - scroll down to reveal.  All films will be £5 entry (one price) and all will have subtitles in English as a policy for this season – even those shot in English. This is to give access to those with some hearing loss and to a sizeable minority in our audience who have English as a second language. But of course we encourage those of you with normal hearing to attend and support this inclusive plan. Peatbog Faeries (music) Thurs 16th Mar, 7.30pm

Based on the Isle of Skye, the Peatbog Faeries celebrated 25 years as a band in 2016. They bring Celtic Dance music into the 21st century by incorporating many influences which take them from traditional jigs and reels through jazz, hip hop, reggae and more. Their instrumentation includes, bagpipes, fiddle, whistles, guitars, keyboard and drums. The band have released seven studio albums, have played to audiences all over the world, and won the award for ‘Best Live Act’ at the prestigious Scottish Traditional Music Awards. Please note: there will be dancing at this event.
