Winter 2017/18

Details of some of the concerts and films in winter 2017/8 are now posted below - scroll down to reveal.  All films will be £5 entry (one price) and all will have subtitles in English as a policy for this season – even those shot in English. This is to give access to those with some hearing loss and to a sizeable minority in our audience who have English as a second language. But of course we encourage those of you with normal hearing to attend and support this inclusive plan. If you have feedback about this experiment let us know uhallpromo@gmail.com  More details will appear soon of the 2018 season of concerts and public events which start in February 2018. Details of the highly recommended Rich Hall gig are already listed. The North – Joan Clevillé Dance (dance theatre) Wed. 22nd Nov, 7.30pm

Wednesday, November 22, 7:30 pm - 10:00 pm

After their acclaimed debut Plan B for Utopia, Joan Clevillé Dance return with The North; the bleak yet whimsical story, told in dance, of a young man’s journey in search of meaning in an unpredictable environment. It’s a place we all know, but we have never been… a forest, a desert of ice. The land of ancient gods, wild animals and strange creatures. The home of the Terrible and the Sublime… Joan Clevillé Dance are based in Scotland and create work that challenges the conventional boundaries between dance and theatre. There will be a free post show talk after the performance. Recommended age 11+
