Indigenous People (music and dance) Sat 2nd Sept, 8pm

Saturday, September 2, 8:00 pm - 10:30 pm

The second evening event with the Indigenous People, featuring the Kakatsitsi Master Drummers from the Ga tribe of Southern Ghana and The !Gubi Family of San ‘Bushmen’ from the Namibiam Kalahari. The emphasis of this Saturday event will be audience participation, especially on the dance which will be using western ‘free’ styles of moves learned with the Africans during the day’s workshops. Kakatsitsi are renowned for their accessible and funky dance grooves, so if you enjoy a good dance and like the idea of participating alongside some Bushmen from the Kalahari, this event’s for you!  Details of the daytime workshops will be found on our website www.universalhall.co.uk nearer the time.
