Spring 2018

Details of most concerts and films in spring 2018 are now posted below - scroll down to reveal.  All films will be £5 entry (one price) and all will have subtitles in English as a policy for this season – even those shot in English. This is to give access to those with some hearing loss and to a sizeable minority in our audience who have English as a second language. But of course we encourage those of you with normal hearing to attend and support this inclusive plan. Alexander Chapman Campbell (music) Sat 7th April, 7.30pm

Saturday, April 7, 7:30 pm - 10:00 pm

Join renowned local composer and pianist Alexander Chapman Campbell to celebrate the launch of his third solo piano collection, Journey to Nidaros – an unexpected album inspired by a 650km solitary pilgrimage across Norway. “I imagined it to be a time of swimming in rivers, exploring mountains and deep-green forests. It ended up being all of these things, but with the added unimagined discovery of music, which gradually emerged from the pianos I found on the path.” Alexander’s emotive and strikingly beautiful music has been described as “refreshingly original” by ClassicFM and has been widely aired across radio and television.

£10/£8 concs/£6 U16’s
